30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 25) something or someone from mythology

Hey there, It’s been a while but I’m getting back on this and going to finish it up. So this was themed on mythology so I decided to do a Phoenix. They are the most interesting mythical animals to me. They are beautiful, colorful and majestic creatures. Capable of living for long periods of time and at the end of there cycle they die in a burst of flames and are once again reborn from there ashes. It tried to capture this beast in watercolor, trying to do something difference for once with these sketches. I wanted to make it look like it one fire and I think I nailed it. This was fun, I want to work more in watercolors.

Yeah I’m really behind On this Because of the Holiday weekend. So I had to represent My Culture, the Dominican Republic. Something I love about being Dominican is the food especially Perner. it’s like rosted pork and it tastes really good. my mom makes it for every special occasion. Yum!

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 23) Something that makes you happy

Nothing like a nice warm shower to get you into a good mood. It’s the only place i can truly be alone and have some time to think about life and what’s my next step in life. There are other things that make me happy but this is one thing that gives me comfort and me feel like everything is going to be okay. :)

30 Day Sketch Challenge | 22) your favorite season

SUMMER! It’s the time where everyone goes on vacation and takes some time to get away from the same old mundane activities of everyday life. I love the warm weather. The ability to dress in comfortable cute clothing. Venturing off to new places. Having time for yourself, friends, family or loved ones. To build long lasting memories. To do things that haven’t been done yet..

I love it so much, it’s to bad it goes but in a blink of an eye.

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 21) Something you don’t like.

There are many things i don’t like but i really can’t think of them right now. But i really dislike it when I don’t have any messages on my phone just saying “Hey” or “How’s everything” from anyone on my contact list. I know that people are busy with there life and they have things to do but I really don’t want to be forgotten either sometimes. :\

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 19) something you’re afraid of

Being alone. This whole thing can be a blog entry but I’ll keep it short. I really don’t like the feeling of being alone or even the thought of it. It bothers me that some people live their lives and grow old without anyone by their side whether it be a lover, friends or family. I don’t want to live a life where I feel so isolated from everyone, to live without any connection to someone or to know that someone out there genuinely cares about you. This scares me even more then death itself.

But I’m going to try and change this. I’m going to make the most out of being alone and turn it into a positive advantage in my life and look for people that truly care about me and are willing to stick by me until my last day on earth. :)

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 18) A Couple (any two people)

So if your can’t tell from the Drawing I decided to draw Neil Patrick Harris & his partner David Burtka. To me they are a perfect couple. They truly love each other, they’re raising a beautiful family, they’re well know a successful and they are just over all cute together. They basically represent everything I want in a relationship. They give me hope that I’ll find my true love/partner one day. I wish I can meet them in person.

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 17) Your Favorite Holiday

So since we’re in the season… I decided to do Christmas. It’s one of my favorite Holidays. Something about the mood, the atmosphere at this time of year get me all giddy. I don’t know if it has to do with the music, the times that your spend with friends and love ones or the thought of making someones day when you found the perfect gift. Christmas just has this magical feeling that overwhelms you. I know some people don’t see that point of the holiday or just don’t have the spirit in them when this time rolls around. I think it’s important to have some time to spread cheer to others and make yourself feel all good inside, it really does make you a better person.

P.S. I really like how this came out so i make clean it up and color it in the future.

30 Day Sketch Challenge | Day 16) something that represents your favorite song

So it was heard picking a favorite song , there’s just so many good ones out there. So what I did was piked a song that gave me a visual or that I created a story around. So I picked Weezer’s “Island In The Sun”. So the story i imagine is this, there a guy who makes a space ship and venture off in to space to the “Island In The Sun” where he meet this girl and spends the whole day with here until something happen…

I really wanted to make this in to an animated short along with other songs i’ve heard. but I’ll just have to hold out on that for now.

My character is Katniss Everdeen form Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games trilogy. She is Defiantly the HBIC. I love her character development and her love story. she is my book hero.

So I had this lamp sitting in my room for a long time. It just sits there collecting dust, I don’t even know if it works or not. But i feel like it’s important and i have to keep it for some reason. Besides, I like old fashion objects.

So my favorite foods are Burgers, Pizza and Fried Chicken. I just don’t know which one to choose as my true favorite. It really depends on what I’m really in the mood for. But I’ll have them all regardless. I’m just fat at heart. <3
